Last week I had my ultrasound to find out what we are having. I think I went in fully expecting a boy because that's what they've been the past two times. Turns out it's a girl! I guess I won't be surrounded by boys forever. Everyone kept asking us if we were so excited to be having a girl finally. I kind of felt bad because Jake and I weren't all jumping in the air excited. We weren't disappointed either. We knew we were having a baby and didn't have much preference as to gender. We were just happy to know. We are happy to be able to finally use our girl name which we've had since before Tade was born. Anyway, several days passed with people asking if we were excited and I just don't think I reacted the way they were expecting. Sorry to everyone for the let down, but the other night that all changed. As I was laying in bed thinking about having a girl something clicked that gave me the biggest smile. When I was on my mission in Madagascar I was able to collect many items made by members and investigators. Things from napkins and table clothes to blankets. What got me so excited though was my memory of dresses I brought back. We had two investigators, Solo and Misa, who I just loved. They both made little white baby girl dresses with colored embroidery. I loved them and have had them in a box for 10 years now just waiting. I had brought them back with the intent of using one of them as a blessing dress if I ever had a girl. With my first two being boys I had completely forgotten about the dresses until the other night. Then my excitement kicked in. I finally get to use one of these precious and memory filled dresses. So everyone I am now excited!
