I Can't Get Enough of This Little Girl!

I love having boys, but man this little girl just melts my heart and cracks me up all at the same time.  Tade and Seth were both adorable 1 year olds with great personalities, but Andelyne tops them both.  She has recently developed a sense of humor.  It is so fun to watch her joke around and then try our her different laughs.

Andelyne went through an underwear phase.  She had this obsession with trying on her brothers underwear.

 Andelyne's hair is taking a while to grow on top, but on the bottom it's going a little faster.  The result was my little mullet girl.  I didn't want to pay for a haircut at this age, but was scared to do it myself.  One day I finally caved and now my little girl is no longer white trash.

She went from her brothers underwear to other clothes like their jackets.  She also wore her cute little beanies around everywhere.

This is our buddy Eli.  Andelyne loves him because he is adorable and younger than her, but not necessarily smaller.  He was sad and she was so concerned.

Then she proceeded to try and cheer him up by playing the harmonica.  Eli didn't know what to think.

Andelyne thought it was way funny.

Then she let Eli have a go at it.

 Another thing Andelyne loves is drawing on herself.  I think I've posted some pictures previously.  This time she found a marker and did a number on her legs.  She was sitting on her brother's bed while doing this and surprisingly didn't get any on the sheets.

Dulles Air and Space Museum

This post comes up over and over again because we just absolutely love this place.  While Seth was out of preschool for a while we were looking for things to get us out of the house.  I found out that some friends of mine had NEVER been to the Dulles Air and Space museum so I thought it was my responsibility to introduce them.  It was love at first sight, right Mary and Maricel?  Every time we take someone to this museum they end up coming back very soon after with their entire family.  So if you are ever in the DC area find some of the museums off the beaten path.

Anyway, so us along with the Ellsworths, Morgans, and Killions headed to Virginia for a day of planes, shuttles, helicopters and McDonalds.

Part of the Transformer 2 movie was done here.  The kids had fun watching it on the tv.

Kate and Andelyne decided to get themselves stuck.

Andelyne loved the space to run and I loved that there were no people here, I could see her from very far away and there was so much ambient noise that the kids could be as loud as they wanted and it didn't bug anyone.

Once again an attempted shot.  Andelyne loved the freedom and would stay still.

You see where Andelyne is headed?  Well that roped off section around the shuttle means nothing to a one year old who just walks right under it.

This is a picture of her under the space shuttle!!!!  I am quickly snapping shots while coaxing her back to me.  The picture is bad, but I had to put it in.  I finally got her out and a few minutes later and gentleman came up to me to tell me Andelyne had set off the silent alarms.  They had watched the whole thing unfold from a security room.  That's my little girl.

This is pretty much what the museum is, but for this age group this is he perfect place.

There is a little plane the kids can get in and pretend to fly.  Here are pilot Desmond and Seth.

  

At the end we headed up to the observation/control tower.  I was kind of an overcast day, but the views were still nice.

What completes this prefect museum is the McDonalds they have.  What a wonderful way to end the trip.

Andelyne and Kate we exhausted at this point, but both handled their exhaustion very differently.  Andelyne just wanted blanky and binki and Kate just wanted out.

Can I Hold Her...Forever

My cousin Dan and his wife Jenny had an adorable little girl in January.  They came over for dinner at the end of the month to introduce her to us.  We had colds going around the family when she was born so it took a while to meet her.  I think Tade was the most excited.  He just wanted to hold little Victoria.  I think he could have sat on the couch with her all night.  Here are Andelyne and Tade with cute little Tori.

First and Looks Like the Only Snow

Snow is not in the kids favor this year.  We have these snow days just sitting there not being used along with the cute snow clothes I have for Andelyne.  We have had a few wintry cold days, but other than those few days it's been spring in February.  My allergies are going insane in February.  The daffodils are blossoming in February.  Did I mention it's FEBRUARY!?!?!  I'm still hoping that maybe there is a chance we get some snow.  It can still happen in March.  With the high 60s temperature we're getting today though it doesn't seem likely.  Oh well here are the few pictures I got on the one day we had some VERY icy snow.

I wish it had been snowing like this, but it was just Tade throwing snow.

At least Seth got one snow tasting in this year.

The snow ice was seriously slick so the boys were able to sled a bit.

I had to get at least one use out of her boots plus I wanted pictures.  The snow pants on the other hand are still untouched.

I am so excited to have a little girl.  Seeing pink in the snow when all you are used to is blue and black was so much fun.
