My Adorable Little Girl

I haven't posted many pictures of random at home events.  I'm great at blogging our outings and holidays, but horrible at the hanging out at home pictures.  Here are the past couple months of my little baby growing so fast.

The beginning of September, 3 months old when she started rolling over.

The middle of October: 

The beginning of November when she had mastered rolling around the room and scooting backwards everywhere.  She got stuck under the couch a lot. 

 The middle of November when she was only 5 months old.  She began getting on her hand and knees.  All my kids crawled early, but she will be my earliest.

More Cakepops

Our Stake had a talent show.  There were three areas of talent being exhibited, performance, art, and culinary.  My friend Maricel and I decided to enter cakepops in the visual category for the culinary exhibit.  We decided to present a mix of cakepops so other could see that there are so many cute ones to make.  We ended win an award in our category.  Yipee!

We did the Lions, Tigers, and Bears again because they turned out so cute the first time.

And of course we had to do some seasonal ones.

The Best Time of the Year

Fall has always been my favorite time of year.  The trees are gorgeous, the temperature is perfect, and apple cider is everywhere.  I just LOVE apple cider!  Fall also brings a backyard quickly filled with leaves.  I'm not a fan of raking and we could get away with not doing it because our backyard is woods and who rakes woods, but I end up raking to get good pictures.  I know it's all about the pictures.  I'm kind of messed up like that.  This world of digital pictures has changed everything for me.  Each year at Christmas I make a calendar for my mother-in-law.  Our November picture on the calendar is always the kids jumping in the leaves.  So each year we break out the rakes and make a huge leaf pile to jump in just so I can get a good picture.  Well at least that's why I do it.  The boys seem to do it because they think it's fun to jump off the deck into leaves and get them all stuck down their shirt.  I guess a 3 and 6 year old would find that fun.  I do have to admit it is fun watching them.  I just with the leaves would rake themselves though.

Tade's First Field Trip

In kindergarten Tade didn't go on any field trips so when he found out he was going on one in first grade he was so happy.  He knows you get to ride a bus to field trips and he really wanted to ride a bus.  The field trip was to Sharp's at Waterford Farm.  The trip was pretty much to a pumpkin patch, but on a huge working farm.  Since it was after Halloween the focus was more on Thanksgiving and the workings on the farm.  I was lucky enough to be a parent volunteer.  Tade was excited for me to go along with his class.  I'm going to have to remember moments like this because eventually having your mom around will not be so exciting.

The best part was the hay ride.  There were three wagons attached to the tractor.  It had rained for several days in a row before the field trip so it was muddy on the ride.  We were slipping and sliding.  We even went across a river.  It was great.  The kids were screaming and laughing the whole time.

The kids got to pick dried corn to take home so they could try to make popcorn.  We're using out corn as a Thanksgiving decoration.

Everyone went home with a perfect little pumpkin.

A Hike In the Woods

Tade had two days off due to the end of the marking period and election day.  I decided we needed to get out and do something.  Even though the chilly weather had set in we thought it would be fun to go with some friends to Sugarloaf Mountain.  It is a beautiful time of year hear with all the leaves changing colors and  falling.  The boys had a great time exploring.  There are massive rocks all over the mountain just perfect for a group of boys.

Finally

Tade has been waiting forever to have a loose tooth.  Several kids started losing teeth last year in kindergarten.  Tade wanted so badly tobe one of those kids.  Nothing happened the whole year.  His dentist told him he would probably be one of the last kids to start losing teeth.  That information totally depressed him.  Then during our last dentist appointment in September the dentist told him he has two loose teeth.  At that time only a trained dentist could tell anything was loose, but Tade did care if he couldn't feel movement.  He had just been told that his tooth was loose and he was on cloud nine.  Anyway, fast forward to October.  His tooth began to loosen to a point where Tade could wiggle it.  Then on Halloween night after carving pumpkins Tade decided to eat an apple.  The apple did the trick.  Tade came running into the kitchen yelling, "my tooth came out, my tooth came out."  Sure enough there was a hole in his mouth.

Then three days later he lost his second tooth.  Now he has an even cuter hole on the bottom.

Disney On Ice

In the middle of our crazy Halloween weekend we took a detour to Baltimore to see Toy Story 3 on ice.  I had never been to a Disney On Ice or Ice capades as I kept calling it.  We have friends in the military who called us a while back asking if we wanted to go with them.  They got great discount tickets through the military so it was easy to decide to go along.  Saturday was an insane day and if I had know ahead of time how it wold play out we probably wouldn't have gone.  I'm glad we didn't know ahead of time though.  Saturday consisted of an 8am soccer game for Tade which after Jake and Tade left for it we found out it had been switched to 9am.  I had to be at the church at 10am to set up and decorate for the church chili cook off and trunk or treat.  Then I raced home and got everything packed up and ready for Disney on Ice and the Halloween party.  Since we were heading straight from Baltimore to church we had to have everything with us.  We got to Baltimore right at 2:30 when the show started.  Then ran out of there to get home.  We got home a little earlier than expected which was nice.  I thought we would be late to the party which I was kind of in charge of.  We made it home in time to get into our costumes and to the party.  Even though it was a whirlwind sort of day we had a great time.  The boys loved it.
