Build-A-Bear or Dog

For each grandchild's 4th birthday Grandma Wangberg takes them to Build-A-Bear.  When Tade turned 4 we were in Utah within a couple months of his birthday and just did it then.  For Seth's birthday there were no trips to Utah planned.  So thanks to lovely gift cards we were still able to go and thanks to video cameras Grandma Wangberg will still be able to see it.  Well once we send it to her.  Last Saturday we actually had a slower day so we thought it would be a great time to go.  I walked with Seth through all his stuffed animal choices.  He quickly chose a cute dog despite his brothers promptings to pick an owl, his dad's to pick a wolf, and mine to pick the monkey.  Seth is my little monkey boy so I thought it would be appropriate.  To that he informed me that he already had a monkey pillow pet and didn't need another monkey.  So a dog it was and we proceeded with the process.

Making a wish.

Each animal gets a heart.  They have you kiss the heart for love before you put it in.

Stuffing the dog.  Seth is stepping on the pedal.

Then he got to give him a "bath."

After the bath came the outfits.  He immediately wanted the police man outfit.  It was the exact same on Tade had chosen for his dog three years earlier.  Then he looked around some more and decided his dog needed beach clothes.

All dressed up and ready to go,

but not before naming him and getting his birth certificate.

Meet Rocky, Seth's new buddy.

Thanks Grandma Wangberg!!

  1. Lizzie picked out that exact dog last summer when my mom-in-law took her to Build-a-Bear! It is definitely cute! I like Rocky's outfits :)
